Europe and the United States are the main markets for China’s vape exports, and the local government’s control measures on vape channels have a huge impact. What is the current status of vape channels in Europe and America? The following is for your reference.
US
It is understood that vape online sales website is still available for purchase, offline major sales channels such as convenience stores, gas stations, etc. can still operate.
UK
As of March 24 local time, VPZ, the UK’s largest vape retailer, closed all 155 of its national stores amid warnings from the government and WHO.
But then, according to news from the Press Association (UK), UK regulators, concerned about the health risks COVID-19 could pose to vapers who continue to buy traditional tobacco products, allowed vape chains to remain open to meet consumer demand for such new products.
France
In the face of an unpromising new coronary pneumonia COVID-19, French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe announced a level 3 new coronary pneumonia alert on March 14, with all non-essential stores having to close and only restaurants, pharmacies and tobacconists remaining, and vape stores not included in the list of businesses authorized to remain open, according to Vapingpost. However, they may still deliver orders by delivery or pick up.
However, in the amendment to the Act, vape stores are considered “public interest” and allowed to reopen as long as they take all necessary precautions to avoid the spread of the coronavirus.
Italy
The Ministry of Health and the Italian Prime Minister issued a statement saying that in addition to tobacco stores, vape stores were also allowed to operate.
Spain
Similar to Italy, vape stores are included in places of necessity and can continue to operate during the COVID-19
